The Myth of the Tea Cup Pomeranian

This is an ongoing project to provide members with network services. See the Administrative reference for information about administering the network. See Projects for other projects.

Let's get a single thing straight through the starting, there is no this kind of thing while a tea cup Pomeranian. Nor perhaps there is a toy, grab or miniature pom. Anybody selling you pom with the above titles is truly a fraud far more interested in making money than ensuring his/her puppies go to a good family.

A Pomeranian should way 3 to 7lbs, based on no matter if it's a male or a female. The height may differ between 8 to 11 inches. The weight and size will be defined with the AKC. If the breeder claims other things, think twice about buying there.

This is an on-going project. System administration never ends!

This unique smaller but feisty dog is actually one in the smallest dog breeds available. It'ersus about the same size while a chihuahua. Breeding dogs that are any smaller would become inhuman. Many so called "toy" dog breeds suffer from a lot of sorts of health difficulties. Chihuahuas for illustration can develop serious problems like their brains can grow greater than their skulls.

And after that there'utes the added risk of broken bones. Plenty of tiny dogs have broken bones while jumping of their owner or managing director's lap or couch. Their tiny bones are so fragile, tripping over your dog could be described as a death sentence.

Don'n get me wrong, I think poms are the perfect breed. I only want to warn you for scrupulous breeders seeking to make a buck from the latest rage.

Research for a reputable breeder. One which boosts the puppies in his/her home and permits you to visit them several times. Make sure the breeder selects on character and health, not just absolute wonder. Could you fairly have a healthy pom that'ersus maybe a little on the large side, or one that would end up being considered a tea cup Pomeranian that you have to take to the vet every single other 7 days? If you care about your future dog, and I'm positive you carry out, I know you'll make the right choice.
